This section presents the founders and founders of the Academy of Cryptography.
The Commission of the Founders of the Academy of Cryptography included: members of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (later – Russian Academy of Sciences), specialists in the field of cryptography and related sciences: Vice-President of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Academician Vladimir Aleksandrovich Kotelnikov, Academician Yuri Vasilyevich Prokhorov, corresponding members of the USSR Academy of Sciences Vladimir Yakovlevich Kozlov, Vladimir Konstantinovich Levin, (now a full member of the Russian Academy of Sciences), Boris Aleksandrovich Sevastyanov, and Sergey Vsevolodovich Yablonskiy, as well as The leading employees of the country's Special Service are Nikolai Nikolaevich Andreev, Vladimir Nikolaevich Sachkov, Andrey Mikhailovich Zubkov and Yuri Ivanovich Medvedev.
On December 13, 1991, the first official meeting of the Commission of the Founders of the Academy of Cryptography took place. At it, the members of the Commission from the Academy of Sciences of the USSR confirmed their consent to become full members of the future Academy of Cryptography. According to the results of the discussion and secret ballot, four representatives from the Special Service of the country were chosen as full members of the Academy, and V.N.Sachkov was elected academician-organizer of the Commission. At the meeting, an appeal was made by the members of the Commission to the scientific community of the country about preparations for the election of the primary composition of the Academy of Cryptography.
Alexander Vladimirovich Starovoitov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, General Director of the FAPSI under the President of Russia, provided great assistance and support in the work of the Commission.
